Class Descriptions
Beginning Keiki Hula
For Boys and Girls (ages 5-8, 9-12)
Young dancers are introduced to basic hula steps, language, dance etiquette and simple songs.
Keiki II - Hula
By invitation only (ages 6+)
Dancers continue with more language and technique and dive deeper into understanding Hawaiian culture.
Keiki III - Hula
By audition/invitation only (ages 7+)
Dancers continue with more language and technique and dive deeper into understanding Hawaiian culture. Haumāna prepare for the advanced competition Liko Pua class.
Liko Pua - Hula
By audition/invitation only.
Advanced older keiki/young teens. Competition level.
Beginning Adult Hula
Men & women (ages 13+) are introduced to basic hula steps, language, cultural practices, and proper technique.
Intermediate Adult Hula
By audition/invitation only.
Men & women (ages 13+) are trained for performances, competitions, and as examples to other classes.
Mākua and Kūpuna Hula
By audition/invitation only.
Men & women (ages 13+) are trained for performances and competitions.
Beginning Adult 'Ori Tahiti
Men & women (ages 13+)
Students are taught the basic motions and fundamentals of traditional 'ori Tahiti. Students are also introduced to language and cultural protocol.
Advanced Adult 'Ori Tahiti
Men & women (ages 13+)
Dances and movements from the islands of Tahiti. Dancers also learn Tahitian cultural traditions and language, as it relates to the songs and dance interpretations. ('Ōte'a, Aparima, & Mehura)
Polynesian Dance Conditioning Class
This class is perfect for anyone looking for a low-impact dance-oriented fitness routine. The instructor uses a combination of hula and tahitian dance basics, combined with contemporary dance. No dance background needed to participate. Our PDC class is suited for all levels.
Ori Tahiti - Solo Training
All ages, Int/Adv Skill Levels (recommended)
Open to anyone who wants to condition their 'Ori technique, build their strength and stamina, and develop powerful stage presence.
Aloha Friday Hula Basics
Ages 13+, All Skill Levels
Slowing down and refining basic Hula technique and grace.
